Life and times of a Move Maker

The grind defines who you are. Persevearance is key, and they say if you really want it you have to go get it. Somewhere along the way this must have been explained to exec Michael Kyser in a manner in which he was able to take, and subsequently "grab the bull by the horns"

In the music game for years, notably as an executive with Def Jam and then on to Warner Bros; Recently Kyser was named the first President of Black Music for the Atlantic Records Music Group.

In his own words, "to say that this is a dream come true is an understatement. The heritage of black music at Atlantic Records is second to none in this industry, and it is both humbling and thrilling to take on this newpost at a label with such an amazing legacy. To be part of the birth of thenew Atlantic over the past seven years has been an extraordinary experience."

In music, no different than any other grind, it becomes at times who you know just as importantly as what you know. Michael Kyser has impressed and earned the respect of some heavy hitters; The boss himself Lyor Cohen remarked, "I've seen him evolve into one of the most admired and accomplished members of the urban music community. This appointment is richly deserved."

How's that for a recommendation.
Congratulations and salute.
