A hint of LOVE in this Battle
They say @ times the ones we love the most are whom we mistreat the gravest; for the sake of being totally candid I would have no choice but to agree. Isn't it strange though? The fact that you can actually say when you commit to extreme self inventory that you yourself have subscribed to this action. In hindsight I'm ashamed
This revelation was brought to mind as a read a piece citing ?uestlove as saying that the beef between Nicki Minaj and lil Kim is actually spawned by love and a rooted respect. Why else would the two make a point to even mention each other as often as they do; when you really consider it, something that you do not care about you try your hardest to not give attention to- it becomes irrelevant, does it not?
Think of the great war or words, they were all the result of a love gone awry and in some cases the respect and unity was able to be revisited at a later dat, upon which time they both admitted there was a necessity to go at the other because indirectly it made them better. Recognition like that cannot be all bad, is not the product of hate that you see in real life instances of turmoil.
Remember when Ja Rule said it "pain is love". A winning formula is to take it in moderation though. We'll see what the future holds between the two; if I had to say- Its true good for the game, good for music, and good for women in music. Remy Ma put it best when she said there can be more than one QUEEN, more than one relevant female emcee at a time.
If it takes a battle to make that happen, then set the table for more
